Breakfast at Tiffany

So suddenly I got the vcd of this classic movie and start watching it...

It's quite a new style of movie at that time as I think, since the life of Hally was fresh to ordinary people in the big city. (or people in the US already started having that free-style living at the year 1961?)

A play girl, worry-free and do what she like to do meet a writer, sort of free and write what he like to write. A neighborhood relationship in an apartment building with wide fantasy to be rich. I am not sure how good the service of Tiffany would that be in reality, but surely the movie did praise how elegant and how precious things could be sold in there.

The scene showing the man and the woman to try/go something/somewhere they never do was interesting too.... discovering a new world ones never been. Life is actually far more bigger than what we could think of...

Reality (the death of Hally's brother, the arrest due to relationship with the drug dealer) force the girl to face the reality, finding the sense of security, with dream (marry to Brazil) vanished.
Totally breakdown in the taxi and finally picking up courage to accept love. That's what the movie talks about with all these elegant decoration, party dreams...

The appearance of Audrey(at her age of 32) was stunning, classic. I don't think any of those nowaday Hollywood stars could compare... Without her, how would the movie survive?! Just like Faye Wong's singing cult songs... An icon for sure.

I still think people born in last generation (just after WWII) are the happiest group of people... with all these new wave and classic culture to born...

ps. Surprisingly the theme song of this movie is 'Moon River'..?! my ignorance..
