Jeux d'enfants / Love Me If You Dare / 兩小無猜
The TV station in here is having a French movie month. The last Sunday they shown out this one..
In the beginning, I wasn't quite understand what it was talking about. The language for sure with the quick speed of subtitles on the bottom screen... which most of them quite didn't make sense as the kids keep chatting rubbish...
Indeed, the boy and the girl were playing a game called "Cape pas Cape"... It is indeed a pretty cruel game, the person has the can tossed it to another person to start the deal, a stunt that the other party have to do otherwise obeying the request...
The game continued to their adulthood, which they kept tossing this magic can to give each other dare but never admitting their feeling to each other. The couple lived in a world bounded by the rules; they followed, they lived, they enjoyed, they hate, they separated, they back together, they died for....
Surely is a kind of unrealistic and imaginative movie, but that was the charm of it, which you would never know the ending...
Some thoughts:
1. Rules in the world: How we take it? or do we keep doing with our own way?
2. Interaction: Someone to share, surely, it's relationship, it's love. But it's never alone as you need a target, a rival, an opponent, a gamer, an enemy, or a partner...
Understandable why the director (Yann Samuell) are remaking 'My Sassy Girl' from Korea after this movie.... ^_^
Looking forward to another French movie, or the coming one: La vien en rose
ps. why they named all weird girls with 'Sophie'? ? ;p
