It's quite a joke as I received emails from msn the company that talked about closing my msn-group after sending me the first and last warning.


and then when I click the link: "Keep my group", it turned out to be the following thing:

what can I do for that?

I tried to find out the email of msn help desk, it takes me quite a while to go thru links and bits but still no luck...

Finally, there's a feedback link in the question mark that could give me a chance to ask the staff what I can do.

2-3 days, I haven't received anything from them yet...

I just want to dig out the photo files and contact list from there....

Does that mean there is a chance that hotmail or some other internet accounts no longer function one day, we will lost all our memories and stuff?

It would be a bit sad but real, but then what happened to the data? Sounds like footstep on the seashore...

Another thing is about privacy, online, possibly none.. except, you are the programmer of the page or owning the service, the server...

There is e-commerce, e-biz to study, possibly time to have e-humanities like e-sociology, e-psych, e-social, e-law, e-....

a terrible tv night

we watched tv tonight, due to China Vs USA volleyball...

Ok, it was an exciting match, then we watched this TVB show "When a Dog Loves a Cat" - 當狗愛上貓... (see wiki), due to my curiosity and the tendency of watching last episodes.

It's because it's the ending, the last episode of the show..

I totally disappointed with the show.. not because it was broadcasting late... which pushed the normal late news till 0030 on the other day... But the concept of the show it stinked..!

One of the famous quote from main actress Chow Chow, '愛情不是在乎結果,是在乎過程。" (in English: Love is not for the result but for the process) which could imply love without future/ result... It's that what people want? She came across this idea thru the dog loved the cat in the show (will have no result for sure)...

Encouraging inter-species love...?!

I felt a bit discomfort about this idea...... @_@

typhoon no. 8

So this is the 2nd time we have no. 8 in day time which gave us some time-off...!

Cool? more Relax this time as it stayed in the middle in noon, which means we could rest for the whole day instead of hurrying back office when all signals downed..

Recent news in HK after the Earthquake...

1. Chicken get killed (Public health)
2. Flooding and landslide (disasters)
3. Gov new recruited executives being criticised harshly (politics)
4. bizarre crimes (not as hot)

News headlines covering each others day to day, having a tendency to target on the authority, or an object to blame... (The particular victim would think of finding some other big headlines to cover their fault thru change of attention?!) Perhaps people are finding ways to express their restlessness: inflation, worry about future, disasters, stocks.. etc

How to cope? Life has a meaning, live a good one and make it sounds.

Suddenly, things were shocked... by the terrible Earthquake..

Where is the Olympic Torch now?

Dramatically, things get changed from a party mood to a devastating mood....

The authority is using his ultimate best to beat the time for the more life to save, to do a better job than the his neighbor Burma, to present a better image to the world how hard they strive for...

Morning talk shows in radio stations did show concern on how to help. But again, they kept asking the most common question after shock: 'why': 1. from a geological view point; 2. from the structure of building; 3. from a social view point: the local authority and possibility reason of poverty; 4. Mr. Wen's behaved. People (phone-in callers) expressed emotionally and even stir-up unnecessary attacks and dissociations.... which wouldn't make the situation better at all but created more stress and chaos.... -_-

We pray,
for those who suffer can be saved
for what we have in life...

The thing that appears in news from now and then, at least for these 100+ days before Olympic, interestingly is the Olympic torch..!

It never received that much focus as far as I could remember, with the speedy instant tv transmission signal technology that even one cable tv channel would be destinated for 24 hours chasing it...

But the most dramatic thing is, people trying hard to steal it, extinguish it, block it....

And it really works, people succeed in getting attention and being on the headline of the news. And countries are trying to play politics with it....

"Not to mix Olympic with Olympic"... Is it really possible..?!

There was a scene in the movie Forrest Gump playing Ping Pong with the China as a reflection of Ping Pong Diplomacy in 1971.... (well, that was not exactly the Olympic game though)

Not to mention the medal tally at the end of the day used to be a kind of show-off to the others....

Surely Teams support Tibet liberation catch the wave and democratic countries also get a chance to play..... But, is it the right time? Do they know their opponent well?

Back to work, finally..!

Snow was great in Shigakogen... too good that we couldn't ski on the first day and the 3rd day afternoon.... (wind was too strong and gondola was forced to close..)

Finally ended my long vacation and started working in this new job in lab. My boss was not around for the first few days due to training.... But that doesn't mean I can fool around. Things are so technical, clinical and practical that I have to dig up a lot of reading to catch up things I have forgotten again...!_!

Sport week

Preparing things for the Japan ski trip this weekend (Shigakogen), my muscle still sores after the 10k run on last Sunday within 52 min.

This race was a boring one which runners ran on the highway (the Eastern Corridor), but the course itself was easier than the old route which passed under the Victoria Harbor thru the Western Cross-harbor tunnel.

I joined the sailing course organised by LCSD hk gov in the last 2 days. It was cool as 4 out of 6 candidates didn't turn up (ended up 1 to 2 tutoring). There's not much wind in these 2 days for us to sail (ended up stand-still in the middle of the sea), but the weather was good with some sunshine over the head.

Better weather now, hope it starts leading the coldest weather away in the beginning of the year...!

The evil shift and CJ7

It means you work 6 nights within 7 days. It is used usually as a transition from working weekdays to working weekends (vice-versa).

I usually take the middle day off (Monday always) so that I will have 6 off days in a roll. This is definitely good for traveling and getaway! ;p

my 911....

It's something I cannot do.... (though I just know it 24 hours ago)

Being waken up by a loud stressful drilling noise (not existing the accepted Db, but just something that like happened next door continuously) as they are breaking down the wall of the work place that I am living in... It will take them a whole day to do the job.

Do they ever consider someone living nearby has to work overnight? Do they ever consider doing that while I am away instead of my working week..?

Feel helpless, very distress, sad... X_X

Something I might be able to do..? I think I better find somewhere to hide today..
