夏日的麽麽茶 escape

The weekend was a scenic relaxing one...

We've been to the filming place of the movie filmed years ago..

That was the exact beach we've been to as we identified the characteristic building that was there:

Well, don't worry if you missed that movie... The thing is there is a channel in the hotel room's TV which keeps on showing it 24 hrs repeated everyday..!

And the thing we found out is, the location of the building is different...! In other words, the time when the movie was filmed, there was no bit hotel there (where we stayed)..! The hotel must be less than 7 years old then!

See the photo in the film compare to the one above..!
Will share about more and photos in flickr later..! ^_^

It's worth to have a weekend there indeed.. though the weather could be better!

"九龍皇帝-"曾灶財病逝

It's a small headline found in today news, but it interested me... He was famous for his graffiti, which was bought to attention and became one of the 'street art' in HK.

I googled his name, and found some interesting info in wiki.

Was he insane? Was he a beggar? or just a person reflecting the how poor peoples' life in HK? Claiming himself as a 'king', reminded me Jesus Christ being named as the king of Judah on His cross..

A king, must have to make some impact to his country, to the world...

(photos from arts.tom.com)
Surprisingly, found his appearance in YouTube.

Bake 2..! Green tea moss red bean cheese cake...!

So here's the second cake I did a while ago, from this receipt.

Let's see: 1. In front of the Laptop with all ingredients again.!
2.The cake base, digestive biscuit with melted butter..!
3. Wrap with tin foil and bake the base..! (the only thing I have for holding cakes)
4. The base is ready..!

5. The green tea magic..!
6. The moss..! It's made from cream for sure..
7. The final look...! ;p

Remarks:
a. I wasn't able to buy red beam paste... even a supermarket below a Japanese Department Store (i.e. Taka in Orchard..!) So it's kind of a disappointment there in the cheese..
b. The base was good this time, but I wasn't impressed with the taste of the base... too strong with the favor of digestive biscuit...! -_-
c. The texture of the cake wasn't prefect but I got the idea how it goes when being made nicely..
d. The green tea was blended in quite nicely, the missing of the red bean was still a big miss...

Bon appetite!

Jeux d'enfants / Love Me If You Dare / 兩小無猜

The TV station in here is having a French movie month. The last Sunday they shown out this one..

In the beginning, I wasn't quite understand what it was talking about. The language for sure with the quick speed of subtitles on the bottom screen... which most of them quite didn't make sense as the kids keep chatting rubbish...

Indeed, the boy and the girl were playing a game called "Cape pas Cape"... It is indeed a pretty cruel game, the person has the can tossed it to another person to start the deal, a stunt that the other party have to do otherwise obeying the request...

The game continued to their adulthood, which they kept tossing this magic can to give each other dare but never admitting their feeling to each other. The couple lived in a world bounded by the rules; they followed, they lived, they enjoyed, they hate, they separated, they back together, they died for....

Surely is a kind of unrealistic and imaginative movie, but that was the charm of it, which you would never know the ending...

Some thoughts:
1. Rules in the world: How we take it? or do we keep doing with our own way?
2. Interaction: Someone to share, surely, it's relationship, it's love. But it's never alone as you need a target, a rival, an opponent, a gamer, an enemy, or a partner...

Understandable why the director (Yann Samuell) are remaking 'My Sassy Girl' from Korea after this movie.... ^_^

Looking forward to another French movie, or the coming one: La vien en rose

ps. why they named all weird girls with 'Sophie'? ? ;p

緣份MV - A-dAY

A band in Hong Kong that has a passion to breakthrough the rough idol music world in Hong Kong. A classic song that they are singing in a folk-like acoustic arrangement.

Enjoy it.

A mistake.. again

To start with:
I was looking for a book, not really care it was second hand or not. With a thought and impression that I could get cheaper stuff online, I started trying to click...

Amazon is the usual place I go for. But this time lots of the sellers wouldn't send books overseas...
I went for ebay because I was attracted by the low price and availablity of international shipment. But I forgot the 2 major killerss: payment and shipment.

Payment: This usually can be deal with paypal.. but my account was too old which the credit card doesn't exist anymore. I tried to update with a new card but the billing address was not changeable. So I ended up closing that account. The only way I could pay the seller was either in money order or cheque. Not to mentioned the additional commission from the post office + registered mail added up as well in this small item.

Shipment: This is always quoted by the seller, you will have absolutely no idea how things be packaged or dressed. Surely the seller will make it looks brilliant, but is it necessary for spending a fortune in dressing up a cheap second hand item?! I will leave it to the environmentalist..

How much again did I ended up with? Possibly more than buying a new one locally.

I think I will close my account after this transaction..! Ebay is for people who lives in the US (we possibly have a local one but they still charge you big for sending things locally instead of you collecting it by yourself..!)

Long life! Post/mailing office...! ^_^
