Being touched..... T_T

I was wondering where to put all my trip photos for sharing, trying here and there and so on...

Start up loading photos to 'Flickr' as I got an account and I might get some interaction with other photographers... Actually I start having this habit of seeing photos of the place that I am going to visit so that I could have a better idea how it looks like. Also I could learn how those photographers taking angle with those famous sites.

There are several online photo albums for sure : Flickr, Picasa, fotologue, pbase and even yahoo.. I did some research and tried to collect view points from limited friends online (you know, every time you looking for a particular person or just want to talk to anyone they just not appear or not available at all... that makes you feel more lonely indeed...). Still hasn't got a definite answer but all pointed towards Flickr..

I uploaded all photos from Siem Reap but it just appeared the latest 200 of them since that's the limit of the free account. Surely there is no free lunch in the world..

Just at that moment, my friend told me he upgrade my account to a 'pro' account for a year.... (which means I can show more photos in the album!).. I was suprised and speechless at that very moment...

It is always happy and joy to receive something you like from friends without telling them... and I haven't been experienced that for such a long time indeed..!

Thanks v much AC ! ^_^

I shall put more pieces of art in there for sharing the joy of travelling/snap-shooting.!

ps. for my work pls click My Flickr album on the side bar, feel free to comment!

Things I tried to make

It started by an inspiring colleague at work. He was always baking cakes. So I got a sudden idea of making one, something without baking as I am too lazy to bake... And I dig up my sister-in-law favorite dessert: Tiramisu

Those receipts I got were all from the internet... But the ingredients I needed were not easy to get. Simply because the wine I need to buy is always a big bottle which I don't need much for the rest (otherwise end up selling Tiramisu for life-time?!) Thanks to my friend K who got bottles of wines in her house and poured some for me..

The first version was made for an occasion, but it was not really successful because I poured too much coffee into the dough... turned out to be really soggy...

The second one was done possibly a month after, and It turns up quite 'ok'.... At least through texture and taste improved... though the outlook still needs to be improved...
Better buy 250g of Mascarpone cheese next time as for 2 person portion as 500g is just too much..!

Bon appetite..! ^_^
(next challenge maybe cheese cake)

Landmine in Cambodia

the Landmine Museum in Cambodia

Thought that was one of the 'must-see's in Cambodia trip, but indeed find out not many tour trip bought people to see that. Tourist we met were came by themselves, unlike group of people we saw in the temples...

These children are lived by the neighborhood or even in the museum as they got no where to go. They were the victim of the stepping on the landmine.

The founder, one of the ex-soldier who worked as a landmine sweeper still working and teaching people to remove these 'non-lethal' weapon...

Stories were posted on one of the wall describing how people step on it.. curiosity, collecting woods for cooking.... These stories do chill your soul and rethink how cruel the impact war does give to people life.

A day of world peace... would there be one?

As a game player, soon you will find this game is especially similar to the famous classic game: http://www.mariokart.com/

So?! that's how people borrowed somebody idea and get profited thereafter then...

Breakfast at Tiffany

So suddenly I got the vcd of this classic movie and start watching it...

It's quite a new style of movie at that time as I think, since the life of Hally was fresh to ordinary people in the big city. (or people in the US already started having that free-style living at the year 1961?)

A play girl, worry-free and do what she like to do meet a writer, sort of free and write what he like to write. A neighborhood relationship in an apartment building with wide fantasy to be rich. I am not sure how good the service of Tiffany would that be in reality, but surely the movie did praise how elegant and how precious things could be sold in there.

The scene showing the man and the woman to try/go something/somewhere they never do was interesting too.... discovering a new world ones never been. Life is actually far more bigger than what we could think of...

Reality (the death of Hally's brother, the arrest due to relationship with the drug dealer) force the girl to face the reality, finding the sense of security, with dream (marry to Brazil) vanished.
Totally breakdown in the taxi and finally picking up courage to accept love. That's what the movie talks about with all these elegant decoration, party dreams...

The appearance of Audrey(at her age of 32) was stunning, classic. I don't think any of those nowaday Hollywood stars could compare... Without her, how would the movie survive?! Just like Faye Wong's singing cult songs... An icon for sure.

I still think people born in last generation (just after WWII) are the happiest group of people... with all these new wave and classic culture to born...

ps. Surprisingly the theme song of this movie is 'Moon River'..?! my ignorance..

2 balls in Singapore I just played

Bowling:
2 people in the ally. That's how quiet the place would be in Singapore. You can say that is a weekday and people are much busy in going home to watch their famous TV or still hanging on the 'spidy fever'... The game, does provide a place for a express the instinct of
destruction.... Blow the pin off into pieces... It also remind me the time I played Wii back in friend's house in HKG...

Golf:notice for closing and vending machine above ^

A poor status of maintenance because the range is closing down on 4th June.. Quite ironic to the remebrance of the movement back in PRC..

Volkswagen Golf Centre
This is the first time I used my clubs in Singapore after receiving from my Dad, who is a great golf fans... I tried to use everything once as make sure they are not useless in this room to rust. S$20 for 4 buckets of ball (approximate 70 per bucket ba?) that could spend total of 2 hours in there. I spent half of it as my skin start to pile-off from my palm due to holding too tight on the grab... :~( Alas, I got myself sweated and started picking up the P club again, that's serve the visit of the range.

What would the land being used? I am not sure... I will surely use my remaining credit for the last visit before it close down. The question remains, where is the next nearest driving range that I can fool around?! :p

Spiderman 3

So it is showing and we got a time to walk in the wide screen..!

Expected to be better CG (Computer graphics) as it is smoother for little spider swinging around from streets to streets, free fall as flying in space within falling object... Surely people understand physics will complain about the possibilities of such a move in mid-air... I found just abit too much in these graphics.... fed-up..?! (Oh Mary Jane, you must get used to this kind of fall rite?!)

Little spider isn't a loser this time, he is a winner, he get stronger, more powerful and feel good with his new out-fit..! Do people really need to have some evil mind in order to boost up their real ability?

Themes:
1. Right and evil
A choice to make, a temptation to be in evil since it looks cool, but it leads to a road on losing control + own self.. The final statement by Peter concluded it: choose right. But who defines that? When the normal costume overlapping the US flag, where will you stand for?

2. Relationship
a) BGR love, feel abit insensitive to the partner?! Losing a listening heart or empathy? But who bears when both have some problems to face?! 'Put the wife in front of you...', never an easy task to do in L-O-V-E..

b) Friendship: I was touched and it wet my eyes when both dear friends helping each others... 'We are friend, best friend..'

3. Revenge and forgiveness: One of the main theme for sure, the story couldn't continue without mentioning this fact... An eye to an eye as for a common sense to do, but will that end things in the best way? Auntie May bought up the word of wisdom when Parker felt frustrated about Uncle's death. The ending also shown up the noble personality of forgiveness in resolving a confrontation, as if most of the racists and nations could learn to become a perfect world.... Everything happened with a story, just would you patient enough to listen or not.

4. Religion: It was mentioned in the movie, by Parker fixing up Eddie in the office when being asked for forgiveness. Eddie actually listened to and went to church, which is a place for 'cleansing' and 'polluting' happened at the same space...! how ironic!?

5. more themes you could think of?! pls add comment in..! ^_^

Quite enjoy it.

First of May

When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
we used to love while others used to play.
Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by,
someone else moved in from far away.

Now we are tall, and Christmas trees are small,
and you don't ask the time of day.
But you and I, our love will never die,
but guess who'll cry come first of May.

The apple tree that grew for you and me,
I watched the apples falling one by one.
And as I recall the moment of them all,
the day I kissed your cheek and you were mine.

Now we are tall, and Christmas trees are small,
and you don't ask the time of day.
But you and I, our love will never die,
but guess who'll cry come first of May.

When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
do do do do do do do do do ...
Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by,
someone else moved in from far away.
