十公, going to run

Went to collect my gift bag after work, lined up a few and getting more, but there wasn't any official queuing system in there... so..

The doors opened with a few minute delayed, people just rushed in. Any order at all? None!

That's all I have from the 'show bag'. The singlet is so sexy. The bag could be useful though..! Samples...

I don't think I will bring any bags there, still thinking of bringing the DC though... life as a blogger..!

10K, just finished the race then, no pressure on beating any times..! ^_^

墨攻, A Battle of wits

http://www.abattleofwits.com.hk/
http://www.bokkou.jp/

Quite a new movie to watch as it is shown simultaneously globally.

A good battle strategic moves which bring the audience from scene to scene. It goes smoothly but just a bit dizzyingly when pending the camera amount the large 100k soldiers in Chiu's. Surely it is a CG (Computer graphic) kind of effects that make up a troops like that outside the fortress.

The philosophy of Mozhi, love and anti-war, for sure is the right kind of message to nowadays. Ge Li (Andy Lau) acts like a missionary walked by himself in the city and helped for defense. Surely he got trust from the citizens in giving such a great salvation to them. The enemy did say well of his act, that he stir up jealousy... Would that be something like Jesus in the Bible doing, helping people but finally being put to death because of people afraid His power..?!

Love, even to your enemies. Regarded them as human for sure. It's the act that was unforgivable. Will this noble manner being learned and understand by all of the peace-keeper..?!
Ever any governor, king or president spreading the news of peace realm long in the world...?

Indeed, the insecurity and fear in side the human mind do bring them to a degree, to eliminate the source, namely the same species...

Self-awareness, peace of mind, when will people ever learn?

ps. well, it's the same formula as Initial D, that Japanese get their fame in writing up the comic and the Chinese turn it back to movie... work eh?!

2 book reviews...

Finished these 2 books within these 3 months..
1. The Zahir by Paulo Coelho
2. The Ringmaster's Daughter by Jostein Gaarder

Well, I found out I don't like to reading fiction writing from the point of 1st narrator. I simply lost tracks of the flow. Maybe my english is not that great at all.

I know they try to tell something happened in their mind.

In Zahir, the flashback and the awareness, realisation of losing a wife direct the character for an answer.

In Ringmaster's Daughter, Petter also fall into a stage of regret. An old unfinished relationship remains one of the hurdle for him in starting another one.

Both of them coincidentally are writers.... That is the most easiest character for both of the authors to write about and infuse some of their experience in life into the stories.. Maybe that's why it sounds true with the feeling and thought within..

Possibly start up with some easy-reading stuff like Angels and Demons (still haven't read it yet, hope the movie will take some time to make ar?!)

Live a life without regret and take care with the people who is being with you. Same old tune but true.. -_^

日本沉沒 - Sinking of Japan

http://nc06.jp/

A disaster movie for sure it is full of scenes with special effects. Japan is the country which is so famous in making up scenes since Ultraman. This latest edition of Sinking of Japan does not disappointed us at all.

Most of these disaster films include storyline for saving people and love ones... In this one, both of the characters have taken a role to save people in different aspects. Reunion is always the time for touching emotion.... but not too strong in this one. Was it the timing? or anyway to do with the set up of atmosphere?

Start to become less sympathetic when seeing large amount of people died in a in a disaster. The scenes in 911 indeed is much like a movie, which nowadays people getting desensitized with all these bad news.. Good or bad?

Indeed it could be a good reminder that the end of the world is coming and we have to work for the best of the day we have...!

Count your blessing and makes everyday well spent! ^_^

ps. oh, my lovely bike is being ridden in the movie again: Honda PS250, i miss u!

Director - General of the World Health Organization.....

Firstly I want to say I am not interested in politics...

She was a civil servant for 25 years, leading the team to fight against AI and SARS.

I am not sure how the WHO appointed her as an assistant director of WHO when she was still under the investigation by LEGCO in Hong Kong... I got an impression that she was jumping out of the trouble after all.

Surely such a natural disaster (SARS) that no one has ever encountered or experienced before would make controlling or leading such a difficult job to do and errors and difficulties are expected and acceptable. But leaving without a word, really doesn't make sense as well..

It is a win-win decision which the WHO is led by a Chinese, a great chance to open up the forbidden city and on the other way, pleasing the country that one of his people sitting in one of the top positions in a world organization.

The hardest job, for sure is she who would be under the pressure between the world health and the forbidden city...

" Science becomes a weapon under the pressure of politics".... That is something I wish that will not happen to more parts of the world...

Please touch it softly, thank you.

The time in HK after seeing the Pompitou Masterpieces, we entered another corner of the art Musee which gave me quite a new aspect of art ... hair!

The unimaginable thing is, the artist turn them into shoes.... many many pairs of shoes..

It was interesting and amazing: how she collected them all, how she made it, how they were shipped, how they were kept?... how.... But the other questions are, where all these people (hair) came from, how are their life?

Would it be nice to wear them? They are not in pairs for sure.. Sitting on the ledge, looking all they displayed.... you can stay there quite a long time...

24 hrs food centre - Newton

Here's the famous 24 hours hawker centre called Netown food centre. It's newly furnished and serving all the famous Singapore dishes at any time of the day.

These it's one of the culture of Singapore, eating in a public open space. If it is indoor, they called it Food Court.

The thing why it wasn't full of people in the middle of the night, some suggested because smoking is forbidden... in an open space. So that night we see all empty taxi linning up outside without passengers...

What food do they serve? See the photo and pick one of your favour...!

Most of these spicy food is still hot to me, so don't as me which one to take..! :P

Bon appetite!

A day in the Zoo

It is a cheaper deal to buy tickets for both zoo (day and night). And here we get into the day zoo, which is the first time I visit.

How is it? Compare with the night time, these day time animal is more functional and active for sure. But similar situation happens... when they are kept for that long, without enrichment, they become quite bored..

"White Tiger: What would be the rest of my life like?"

Coincidentally, white creatures behave similarily when being imprisoned...?!
Here comes the famous polar bear in the tropical island.

Personally I have no negative idea of keeping animals in a place as far as for conservation purposes (better than going distinct). However, it requires certain amount of knowledge of in order to keep the animal healthy (in terms of physical, mentally and psychologically).

I wish there would be more programmes provided...
